Spontaneous Worship from Jerusalem

Nancy Bergen

In our afternoon mid-week worship times we have continued to use the spontaneous form of worship that we did at Mount Zion Fellowship when it was pastored by Sister Ruth Heflin.

The Lord had told Sister Ruth, "Sow to the heavens (in praise and worship) and I will sow back to the earth."

Then He spoke about singing a new song unto Him.  Gradually they discovered how to do that spontaneously in such a way that everyone could join in without knowing ahead of time what to sing.  By choosing a simple chord progression and using repetitive phrases of spontaneous revelation, a new song can be created that all can sing.

The songs in the link below this one on our homepage are from some of our worship times here at Jerusalem Revival Center.  They are unedited so what was sung and played is what you hear!  You will hear some flaws, but that is the beauty of homespun fabric!

This type of worship is not for the intellect, but for the heart.  We keep reaching in for revelation of what the Spirit wants to do or say.  Sometimes it is prophetic intercession, sometimes revelation and sometimes pure worship unto the Lord.  Often there is more than one theme woven in.  The repetition allows you to meditate on the Lord and whatever He chooses to say.

Because it takes time to download the full worship sequence which is usually about 45-50 minutes of continuous spontaneous singing, you can listen to a short segment first to decide if you want to listen to the full version.  More worship sessions will be added gradually.

Using this style of worship, you can sing your own new song unto the Lord easily - even if you do not play an instrument!  The Song of Songs that the Lord loves the most is yours!

Sing along and enjoy!
